Fauna on Skidaway Island
Savannah, GA
Alligators, Deer, a Racoon OH MY! Skidaway Island is home a diverse ecological ecosystem. The biodiversity and the ecology of all of the organisms here activly interact with the unique habitat and are well adapted for thei environment. We are fortunate enough to be living on such a pristine coastline and it is our job to manage it properly so that it will still be thriving for future generations. Humans Population growth and development is the root cause for many environmental problems. We are infringing on the natural services and resources found in marine and aquatic ecosystems. My pictures here show not only the beauty of the wildlife but also some of the potential hazards of living next door to nature.
